The app

Pace Maker sends requests only to the endpoints you configure. It has no accounts, analytics, telemetry or crash reporting, and it doesn't phone home. Your configuration is stored locally on your Mac so it can be restored the next time you open the app: sensitive header values (such as Authorization, Cookie and API keys) in the macOS Keychain, and everything else in the app's local preferences.

This website

This site uses no cookies, trackers or third-party scripts.

Like most web servers, it keeps a log of the requests it receives. For each request it records your IP address, the date and time, the page you asked for, the page that linked you here (if your browser sends it), your browser's user agent and preferred language, and how the server responded. This is used only to keep the site running and secure, and to see in aggregate how many people visit, which pages they read and how they found the site.

The logs and the statistics built from them stay on the site's own server. They aren't shared, sold or combined with other data, and they're deleted after 13 months. If the hosting provider records connection data (such as IP addresses) for security, it's deleted after 7 days and never shared.

To show the latest version, the server itself asks GitHub for release information. Your browser doesn't contact GitHub unless you follow a link there.

Purchases

Mac App Store purchases are handled entirely by Apple under Apple's privacy policy. The developer doesn't receive your payment details.
